Bits, Bites, Bums, Boobs

PhotobucketI'm resting and eating Polish apples: Red Jonaprice, sweet, from Biała Rawska (Polskie Sady site HERE). Mutants of Jonagold with high level of anthocyanin (HERE) Red Jonaprince was discovered in 1994, in Netherlands, in Weert by G.Princen. "An additional advantage is the excellent storage of the fruit and outstanding durability in the course of trade. Fruits due to the extremely strict, fine-grained flesh retain a long shelf life and attractive appearance. Tree naturally grows vigorously and forms a loose a spreading crown. Recommended for the production of dwarf rootstock." ;D

BTW Do You know about Thorin to plant? HERE

At last I have new wonderful books :) "Wives and daughters" by Elisabeth Gaskell and "Shirley" by Charlotte Bronte

PhotobucketSo -20C outside.
When is -10C is nice :) You only have to have:
T-shirt, polar fleece blouse, leggins and standard: boots, jeans, jacket, socks.
PhotobucketWhen is -15C You have to change T-shirt on something warm e.g. slim cotton blouse + polar
When is -20C You have to have all 3: T-shirt + slim cotton blouse + polar.
When is -25C You just have faith that this will end soon.

Outside You should use Lip Balm. This one is made by Warpaint Cosmetics London and of course is peach. (Warpaint ???) In home You can make cozy mood by using Cedar Touch, I should say Cedar Flame - Cedar and Orange and Cinnamon home perfume. These are my fav from Pachnąca Szafa HERE

Photobucket
Try to read more books e.g. maybe some from J.G. Ballard? ;D RA is talking about him in one of his interviews before Robin Hood Audiobooks. I have "Rushing to Paradise", "Kingdom Come", "Hello America", "High-Rise". I hadn't time to read this author before. I was much more focused on Huxley and Bradbury.

PhotobucketStill being the woman I remembered about new earrings. These green are my project :) Made by very nice lady in shop with parts to jewelry. The others which look oriental are for practice my ears wear something heavier.:)

PhotobucketI just found this DVD - LOTR behind the scenes, not watching yet :) Waiting for something like this with The Hobbit :)

And something hot for this cold day :) There are many versions of this song but this one is very close to orginal.

6th December - Santa Day

Today we have Santa Day - gifts day.
Photobucket

Still I don't understand why we have Santa Day and X-mas day in this same month. But I consider that this is matter of economy: end of Year so we must have something for wasting our money. Maybe this is weird but I still believe in Santa :D even if I found my letters to Santa in my grandpa desk. I'm not very gift person. I'm not waiting for gifts from others. If somebody is giving me something this is really pleasant specially when this is not expected and I'm really grateful.
I'm not mad at my bro that he gave me this year kitchen gloves and icecream from Häagen-Dazs for Santa Day. He is doing so many things for me whole year that even plain chocolate or even one candy is gift enough. Well new kitchen gloves are needed and I really like to eat this kind of icecream. I heard that it is very good. So I'm really happy from this gift. He wanted batteries ;D for Santa Day, because this is practical gift ;D. Year ago he gave me light bulb ;D. So I bought him nice batteries, plus boxers and chocolate :)
Why I'm believing in Santa?
In past week I was thinking about something small for my co-workers. I was in mall looking for some nice little things and not expensive. And I don't know why I did this I just go to Douglas Perfumery. I was there maybe once. And I saw soaps which can be nice knick-knack. Small thing for less than 1 Euro on Sale. Strangely number of these soaps was equal to number of my co-workers. I taked all. Lady at checkout counter said that she can pack each one in very pretty box with red bow. So I said: Yes! At the end this gift was looking like some very classy-Paris-Hilton-like + She gave me little perfumes... And girls at work were mad-crazy today. :)
So maybe this was impuls or maybe this was Santa who gave me possibility to cheer others :) or maybe up there somebody likes me :) because I bought something for me too. For long time I was thinking about something for me at X-mas day. That's why I'm not expecting material gifts from others, I just buying them If I have possibility. I went to Empik - large bookstore and I saw THIS!!!

Photobucket

Pack of 4 DVDs! Cranford and Return to Cranford! for 99,99zł. Separately they costing 70,00zł each. I opened only one ;D Because the other is for X-mas ;D

My new books :)
PhotobucketOne about polish weddings by Hanna Szymanderska. Not my fav but price on sale was very good -70% ;D and at last I know why we can't take marriage in may. This is from Rome where in May were Lemuralia. More read HERE. And it stays to this day.
The second one is about herbs.
The Nonesuch (Niezwykły dżentelmen) by Georgette Heyer in... Harlequin edition ? :|
Unfinished tales by Tolkien in pocketbook edition. :)
The last one is "Dodssynden" by Margit Sandemo. Polish title: "The Mortal Sin" from One of Sagas: The Legend of the Ice People. More HERE. I red something about 15 volumes of this, but this one is my fav. It has form that this one can be read separately without much knowlage about other parts. And has much more relations with 17c literature. This is tale about Cecylia and Alexander.

Some days ago I saw for the first time reindeers. Funny furry animals.

North & South 7 years after premiere

14 November 2004 was aired first episode of the most wonderful period drama I've ever seen!

"North & South"

with Daniela Denby-Ashe as Margaret Hale and Richard Armitage as John Thornton.

Second episode - 21 November 2004
Third episode - 28 November 2004
Fourth episode - 5 December 2004

My fankle moment started from this series. I was searching for other period dramas than "P&P" or "S&S" to watch on YT. That was warm october 2008... very hard time for me. First I spend all vacation watching "Doctor Who" ... I don't even remember how this started, just I noticed that listen and watching something in other language can easy take all my attention and I wasn't able to think about my problems. Than I started to watch other series and movies. That was really fast learning of new language. And than I saw this movie on YT, just as wonderful list of period dramas.

I didn't notice that moment on 1:28 i was writting some title... and than I saw this one 3:38

Photobucket

And in my mind was: "WOAH!!!! Who is this dude??...What...what!!! was he before in this movie!!!???? What a wonderful nose!!! North&South!! North&South...write this write this!!! Is this on YT?"

And 7:47 PURE PERFECTION!!!! I was sitting with my mouth open.

First I was watching only scenes with Margaret and John, and after some time I was watching all series. Not understanded everything for the first time, so I was really happy to watch this again and again. And I discover that DVD premiere of this series was in Poland June 6th 2008! So I had luck to buy it! Now I have 3 copies...well 4 one is from newspaper series of costume dramas. But should say almost 5. I can live with it ;D.

Last time when I was listen to "N&S" was in monday, because I haven't now time to watch this so this is in my earphones when I'm working at home.
I really fainted when I was listen to Thornton's voice for the first time.

Leisure life or my new/old books etc.

I'm very rarely buying new books, not because they are expensive in my country, but the best was already published ;D and since now I'm ready to buy them. :) I'm waiting for some books from my forum friends :) I have to confess. I'm not reading popular authors. I hadn't read Coelho or Lessing or Murakami or these all popular books about european women married with arabs. No offense please. Some people are reading all popular books, but they have nothing more from them, just reading and after that talk about plot and after this again some popular book. Not because they are interesting in this book, just because this book is popular. Yes I'm a bit nonconformist. You can read Voltaire's "Philosophical Dictionary" instead of Coelho. :)

At last I have bought ONE OF MY FAV!
I, Jedi by Michael A. Stackpole

PhotobucketBook is from 1999 and really hard to buy. Why I like this one....Hmmm.... this book is like some kind of diary writting in first person. I like see this in somebody's eyes. Star Wars world is so wonderful that every character there can have his own story. Even Greedo... after death. Do You remember Greedo - Rodian? Green? He was killed by Han Solo in Cantina Mos Eisley in Star Wars IV : New Hope. And he has story after death :) You can read this in "Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina". But I'm not so very jedi ;D Not even a sith. One of my fav books is Trilogy of Han Solo. "Tell me who You wish to be and I tell You who You are." Like in Tolkien world somebody is more elvish or dwarvish, or hobbitish. In  Star Wars You can be jedish or sithish or solosch...I wonder what do You realy reading in english from these words. My english isn't good these days.Yeap I'm a bit like Solo. Mostly smuggler and ousider and I'm looking for my Wookiee. Hairy Wookiee. ;D

Photobucket

Another one about Richard III
Devil's own by George Bidwell
This one is from 1974
There is new edition from 2005 but I didn't saw it.There is even audiobook.

Photobucket

And something from Heyer - "Charity Girl"

And I have real crush on books about Herbs :) This one is new.

Photobucket Photobucket

And on the sale I saw this DVD. I'm not familiar with this series, but looks interesting :)
