‘Doctor Who’ to star in Spies of Warsaw drama

David Tennant, once the star of the BBC mega-hit series ‘Doctor Who’, has been cast as the lead in a Polish-British-French spy drama.

The two-part television drama, Spies of Warsaw, is based on the novel of the same name by best-selling American author Alan Furst, and is being co-produced by BBC Worldwide, Polish public broadcaster TVP and ARTE France.

The drama begins in pre-WW II Warsaw, with the threat of war looming over the continent.

“We have big ambitions for Spies of Warsaw and for making it the beginning of a run of adaptations of Alan Furst’s novels,” Ben Donald, Executive Producer for International Drama at BBC Worldwide, says in a press release.

“With the story taking place in Poland, France and Germany the adaptation offers some really interesting casting opportunities,” he added.

David Tennant, who rose to stardom in the UK as Doctor Who, a long-running drama on BBC television, will play Colonel Jean-Francois Mercier, an attache at the French Embassy in Warsaw who runs a network of spies.

Janet Montgomery, whose credits include the 2010 movie Black Swan, will play Anna, the love interest in the story.

Directing duties will be taken be Coky Giedroyc, the daughter of a Polish nobleman who emigrated to Britain in 1947.

Giedroyc was nominated for a British Film Academy Award for her 2007 drama The Virgin Queen, and she shot the pilot episode of BBC hit drama Sherlock. (nh/pg)

Today is Boys' Day

Men, boys are shouting when is Womens' Day that this is unfair and they wish to have their own Day. Well I think that they don't know that sometimes (in my country) they have 3 Mens' Days in one year: Mens' Day - March 11th, Boys' Day - September 30th and International Mens' Day - 3rd November. This is like with their girlfriends', wifes', kids', parents' birthdays and Anniversaries ;D So no wonder that they don't know this. They don't remember.

What I'm thinking about men..hmmm.. this is a little complicated..

They are needed... e.g. when You wish to have some kind of funny and not so very complicated joke, just show male's bum.

We can learn from them some useful things... like spitting, get into trouble and that some things can have different use in different situations.

And this is probably true that they are grow up to age 3 and after that they are only get taller and bigger.

The most incredible is that they can have hair in the most unusual places, and if they have some more hair they are thinking that they are stronger ;D

But the most fascinating element on their bodies is in some special place. All females are curious :) what not only Scotsmen have.

But we can be sure that they have nipples

But World would be much boring and sad without them :)

Ok... This part of male's clothes is really interesting. After couple years of studying I'm still surprised what kilt can do with women's mind.

Are they have everything outside there? Answer is: sometimes. And always this is some kind of funny topic.

But this is not about this naughty thing. All is about something more complicated. About something atavistic. About male power, about imagine of ancient warrior in our minds, in our culture, in our experience, in social consciousness.

Thats why women like men in kilt. Even imagine of male parts under has connections with this what we are inside, with our basic feelings about procreation and all these things between two people. Is very hard to fight with it.

Well maybe Rufus Sewell is not in kilt and he played really nasty in Helen of Troy (TV 2003), but seating like this he is just showing his inner manly power. This is one of these images in our culture: accient warrior. They really aren't in pants.
