"v. 1. the reaction a fangirl has to any mention or sighting of the object of her "affection". These reactions include shortness of breath, fainting, highpitched noises, shaking, fierce head shaking as if in the midst of a seizure, wet panties, endless blog posts, etc.
2. a gathering of two or more fangirls in which they proceed to waste endless amounts of time ogling, discussing/arguing, stalking, etc. the object of their "affection"
But without You All this can't be possible.
I'm not posting here names and nicknames, because some of You wish to be anonymous.
May each day of the New Year
bring happiness, good cheer and sweet surprises
to You and All Your dear ones!
Happy New Year!
And something for dance :) Old Good Prodigy from 1994 :)
Thank You Annette HERE for another great message from Richard. It really made my day. Hope his next show will be about hippopotamuses or brain. ;D BTW I was listen to "HMS Ark Royal" and this is really great show. :)
24th December 2011
Dear All,
So my feet are finally on UK soil, back in Blighty, nose to tail traffic and the usual Heathrow drizzle. But it's good to be home for Christmas. I think the jet lag might give me a sneaky glimpse of Santa this year as I am wide awake at 2am!
It's been one of the most memorable years I have ever experienced, the big birthday (which I tried to ignore, by sleeping through it!) and the privilege to be in NZ working on The Hobbit has make this year unforgettable. The places we have been to and the things we have seen, have surpassed all my expectations. I was very choked up as the plane left Wellington on Weds, it really has become home and to all my new friends there and my old friends here I would like to raise a glass for the festive season.
Thank you for the continuing support which you all lend as part of our community of 'friends', it really has an impact on me personally, I feel very much supported and I hope that waiting for the film isn't too frustrating. I haven't quite had the time to attend to all the signed photos that people were requesting as Christmas gifts for family and friends and I apologise for dissappointing them, I will get on the case as soon as I can.
I think next year will be like that last turn of the corner when you think you have reached the summit, only to find you are miles from the top and the climb is even steeper, but we are gearing up for an exciting ride. I even might step off the treadmill and put my dumb bells down briefly to scoff some turkey on 25th!!
Thank you all for the continued generosity on the Just Giving pages which in total comes to more than £14,000.
I would like to say Happy Christmas to everyone who drops in to catch up on the news and further across our online 'party' of friends, have a great holiday, and a cracking New Year. Just think this time next year, we'll all be crossed eyed from all the 3D movies we will have watched, and by 2013, technology will have advanced so much, we won't even have to go the the cinema, it will be transmitted directly into our imagination by a WIFI/Bluetooth microchip which we will have all had installed into our Hypothalamusesl! (Hypothalami?)
Enjoy the typos!
Peace and goodwill (and I really mean that, be willingly good, extra good, extra peaceful and extra forgiving)
RA
And wonderful to see another Hobbit Vlog #5 :)
Wonderful gifts :)
In Poland Christmas Eve is day when we are eating supper with our families and giving gifts. We are eating fish. There are different traditions in different families. My mum didn't like carp, so we were eating fillets from different fish.
In this year after my illness about which I can say: there was "roaring on the heights, The wind was moaning in the night" I'm mostly in bed today. I was at work all this time and I'm just exhausted. I made some small supper for me and my bro: mushrooms soup, fillets, barley for me, baked potatoes for bro and pickled cucumbers. I ate only soup, because all week I was on rigorous diet.
Enya Silent Night (about history of this song You can read HERE)
And one not christmas song - Trevor Hall - Other Ways
Some of You are waiting for my answer. Please be patient. I'll try to answer tomorrow. I should return to bed :) Merry Christmas and Good Night :)
Still I'm fighting with some kind of nasty virus. My stomach is one big battlefield, but when couple minutes ago I saw official Hobbit trailer I'm feeling much better. :)
Singing dwarves! OMG!!! THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!
Richard is looking MAGNIFICENT!!! and All characters are so MAGIC!!!
Over the Misty Mountains Cold by Tolkien
Far over the Misty Mountains cold,
To dungeons deep and caverns old,
We must away, ere break of day,
To seek our pale enchanted gold.
The dwarves of yore made mighty spells,
While hammers fell like ringing bells,
In places deep, where dark things sleep,
In hollow halls beneath the fells.
For ancient king and elvish lord
There many a gleaming golden hoard
They shaped and wrought, and light they caught,
To hide in gems on hilt of sword.
On silver necklaces they strung
The flowering stars, on crowns they hung
The dragon-fire, on twisted wire
They meshed the light of moon and sun.
Far over the Misty Mountains cold,
To dungeons deep and caverns old,
We must away, ere break of day,
To claim our long-forgotten gold.
Goblets they carved there for themselves,
And harps of gold, where no man delves
There lay they long, and many a song
Was sung unheard by men or elves.
The pines were roaring on the heights,
The wind was moaning in the night,
The fire was red, it flaming spread,
The trees like torches blazed with light.
The bells were ringing in the dale,
And men looked up with faces pale.
The dragon's ire, more fierce than fire,
Laid low their towers and houses frail.
The mountain smoked beneath the moon.
The dwarves, they heard the tramp of doom.
They fled the hall to dying fall
Beneath his feet, beneath the moon.
Far over the Misty Mountains grim,
To dungeons deep and caverns dim,
We must away, ere break of day,
To win our harps and gold from him!
The wind was on the withered heath,
But in the forest stirred no leaf:
There shadows lay be night or day,
And dark things silent crept beneath.
The wind came down from mountains cold,
And like a tide it roared and rolled.
The branches groaned, the forest moaned,
And leaves were laid upon the mould.
The wind went on from West to East;
All movement in the forest ceased.
But shrill and harsh across the marsh,
Its whistling voices were released.
The grasses hissed, their tassels bent,
The reeds were rattling--on it went.
O'er shaken pool under heavens cool,
Where racing clouds were torn and rent.
It passed the Lonely Mountain bare,
And swept above the dragon's lair:
There black and dark lay boulders stark,
And flying smoke was in the air.
It left the world and took its flight
Over the wide seas of the night.
The moon set sale upon the gale,
And stars were fanned to leaping light.
Under the Mountain dark and tall,
The King has come unto his hall!
His foe is dead, the Worm of Dread,
And ever so his foes shall fall!
The sword is sharp, the spear is long,
The arrow swift, the Gate is strong.
The heart is bold that looks on gold;
The dwarves no more shall suffer wrong.
The dwarves of yore made mighty spells,
While hammers fell like ringing bells
In places deep, where dark things sleep,
In hollow halls beneath the fells.
On silver necklaces they strung
The light of stars, on crowns they hung
The dragon-fire, from twisted wire
The melody of harps they wrung.
The mountain throne once more is freed!
O! Wandering folk, the summons heed!
Come haste! Come haste! Across the waste!
The king of freind and kin has need.
Now call we over the mountains cold,
'Come back unto the caverns old!'
Here at the gates the king awaits,
His hands are rich with gems and gold.
The king has come unto his hall
Under the Mountain dark and tall.
The Worm of Dread is slain and dead,
And ever so our foes shall fall!
Farewell we call to hearth and hall!
Though wind may blow and rain may fall,
We must away, ere break of day
Far over the wood and mountain tall.
To Rivendell, where Elves yet dwell
In glades beneath the misty fell.
Through moor and waste we ride in haste,
And whither then we cannot tell.
With foes ahead, behind us dread,
Beneath the sky shall be our bed,
Until at last our toil be passed,
Our journey done, our errand sped.
We must away! We must away!
We ride before the break of day!

"Joe Simon, who has died aged 98, was one of the architects of the golden age of US superhero comics. In 1940 he and Jack Kirby created Captain America as the embodiment of the nation's ideals. The ultimate patriot, clad in a tight-fitting, stars-and-stripes costume, the character was a call to arms by Simon, who believed that American participation in the second world war was inevitable."

I consider that I'm getting older ;D or maybe this is matter of to little time for my fav Morrowind Game or Oblivion. Some time ago I started playing in hidden objects games.
What's going on in this kind of games?
(my screen from "9: The Dark Side")
You have scene and list of things which You have to find.
Of course there are not so many pure hidden object games. Most of them are like adventure games: hidden objects + mini games + collecting of facts + escape game.
What is mini game? Mostly logical puzzle.
(my screen from "Nemo's Secret: Vulcania")
My first was "Sleppy Hollow" - extreme dark game... on my old dark screen where objects were almost invisible ;D To download HERE. Don't look at rating on this site. This one should have all 5. On one of polish sites this one has 8 stars on 10. And this one is a winner of Hidden Object Games in 2008. This one is typical hidden objects game without so many mini games.
This one is real hardcore. 9: The Dark Side. Very complicated logical games.Even Sherlock Holmes should have problems. To download HERE
BTW You can always press SKIP on mini game. But this isn't the best way to end these games. :) Because playing in these games is like interactive movie. You can solve misteries of vampires, murders, lost civilizations etc.
I don't remember in which one there was always searching for "Pretzel" ;D

Still I don't understand why we have Santa Day and X-mas day in this same month. But I consider that this is matter of economy: end of Year so we must have something for wasting our money. Maybe this is weird but I still believe in Santa :D even if I found my letters to Santa in my grandpa desk. I'm not very gift person. I'm not waiting for gifts from others. If somebody is giving me something this is really pleasant specially when this is not expected and I'm really grateful.
I'm not mad at my bro that he gave me this year kitchen gloves and icecream from Häagen-Dazs for Santa Day. He is doing so many things for me whole year that even plain chocolate or even one candy is gift enough. Well new kitchen gloves are needed and I really like to eat this kind of icecream. I heard that it is very good. So I'm really happy from this gift. He wanted batteries ;D for Santa Day, because this is practical gift ;D. Year ago he gave me light bulb ;D. So I bought him nice batteries, plus boxers and chocolate :)
Why I'm believing in Santa?
In past week I was thinking about something small for my co-workers. I was in mall looking for some nice little things and not expensive. And I don't know why I did this I just go to Douglas Perfumery. I was there maybe once. And I saw soaps which can be nice knick-knack. Small thing for less than 1 Euro on Sale. Strangely number of these soaps was equal to number of my co-workers. I taked all. Lady at checkout counter said that she can pack each one in very pretty box with red bow. So I said: Yes! At the end this gift was looking like some very classy-Paris-Hilton-like + She gave me little perfumes... And girls at work were mad-crazy today. :)
So maybe this was impuls or maybe this was Santa who gave me possibility to cheer others :) or maybe up there somebody likes me :) because I bought something for me too. For long time I was thinking about something for me at X-mas day. That's why I'm not expecting material gifts from others, I just buying them If I have possibility. I went to Empik - large bookstore and I saw THIS!!!
Pack of 4 DVDs! Cranford and Return to Cranford! for 99,99zł. Separately they costing 70,00zł each. I opened only one ;D Because the other is for X-mas ;D
My new books :)
One about polish weddings by Hanna Szymanderska. Not my fav but price on sale was very good -70% ;D and at last I know why we can't take marriage in may. This is from Rome where in May were Lemuralia. More read HERE. And it stays to this day.
The second one is about herbs.
The Nonesuch (Niezwykły dżentelmen) by Georgette Heyer in... Harlequin edition ? :|
Unfinished tales by Tolkien in pocketbook edition. :)
The last one is "Dodssynden" by Margit Sandemo. Polish title: "The Mortal Sin" from One of Sagas: The Legend of the Ice People. More HERE. I red something about 15 volumes of this, but this one is my fav. It has form that this one can be read separately without much knowlage about other parts. And has much more relations with 17c literature. This is tale about Cecylia and Alexander.
Some days ago I saw for the first time reindeers. Funny furry animals.
Just sitting and resting and eating polish apples :) There are very sweet and crispy. Champion. Polish apples maybe are not so big, but really tasty.
Not big fan of Flo Rida, but there is Etta James wonderful voice! ;D
